I was commissioned to technical design and fabricate a temporary event structure for Mad River Agency. Initially presented with an AI concept image my role was to advise on a structure and fabrication method which could withstand an exterior location in London in December. We needed for find a solution that was elegant but also struturally sound, I commissioned structural engineers CCS Consulting and AV specialists Waveco to work alongside me. The second part was designing the houses which would glow both day and night and withstand the elements. The final fabrication of the houses was made using gels, diffuser and book binders to clip the cladding to the frame.
