Myself and my sculpture partner Lee Whiteman were commissioned by Wild Rumpus to design and build a bottle sculpture for Chester Zoo to highlight recyling. Unimpressed by previous bottle sculptures we felt that this was not the aesthetic we wanted for teh sculpture. I underwent a period of R&D of how we could process the plastic bottles into a material which looked good, easy towork with but also was recognisable as waste material. The final panels were made using a breville toaster to melt the plastic into panels.
